Keyboard Shortcuts

If you’re using your mouse to right click and select some of the tasks below,
you’re probably doing just fine!
If not, read on.

Trying to recall which menu contains the task that you need to access can be a challenge even for those who have excellent memories. Fortunately, we can make our job easier by learning a few, pretty intuitive keyboard shortcuts that make menus mining almost unnecessary.

Below are some of the keyboard shortcuts that “Power Users” employ. Each shortcut involves pressing two keys (or sometimes even three) at the same time. Command A means that you press and hold down the Command (Apple ) key, then tap the A key at the same time. Try using your thumb on the Command key and tapping with your index finger.

Think: command-tap! Note: there are command keys on both sides of your space bar. A couple of shortcuts require two hands and most of them require a little practice! Once learned, however, you’ll be using them as easily as you do a knife and fork.

then (in Safari) click Open Image in a New Window, or (in Camino) click View Image

It will open up in in its own window. If you see a small magnifiying glass with a + on it,
click and the image will automatically enlarge
